Stephanie Imbesi earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Widener University in 2001. She was awarded the prestigious Presidential Scholarship to attend Widener University School of Law, where she earned a Juris Doctor degree in 2004. While in law school, Ms. Imbesi interned with the Delaware County Public Defender’s Office and the School District of Philadelphia’s Office of General Counsel. She also participated in Widener Law School’s criminal defense clinic, representing indigent individuals in various legal matters.
Following law school graduation, Ms. Imbesi began a career with the federal government, first accepting a two-year appointment with the United States Department of Labor, where she served as a law clerk to Administrative Law Judge Ralph Romano. Thereafter, Ms. Imbesi began working for the Social Security Administration, where she served in various capacities, including as an Attorney Advisor, Senior Attorney Advisor, Supervisory Attorney Advisor, and ultimately the Hearing Office Director of the South Jersey Office of Disability Adjudication and Review. Ms. Imbesi joined Silver & Silver in 2015 and concentrates her practice in the area of Social Security disability. She has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar since 2004.
Ms. Imbesi has also served as a volunteer with Widener University in various capacities, including as part of a mentorship program. Additionally, through the Center Foundation, in Media, PA, Ms. Imbesi has mentored young adults in hopes of advancing the Center Foundation’s mission of empowering young people to achieve their goals in life. She resides in Norwood, Pennsylvania with her husband Stuart, who is a Case Manager for children with autism and other special needs.
