Registering to vote is simple, quick, and convenient, and it gives ordinary citizens the opportunity to stand up for what they believe in by participating in the democratic process.
Any Pennsylvania resident who is a U.S. citizen and will be 18 years old or older by Election Day is eligible to vote and must do so by October 4, 2020, in order to vote in the November election. In New Jersey, U.S. citizens who are at least 17 years old are eligible to vote, and the deadline in that state is October 13, 2020.
Be sure to check the specific voter registration guidelines in your state for more details. In general, voters must register in the county where they live, using their residential, not business, address. Registration can be done in a number of different ways, including:
- Online
- By Mail
- By visiting the voter registration office in your county
- By visiting a PennDOT location or other government agency
